Opening Range

📖 Written guide

Observe the High, Low, and Mid formed during a chosen time window without treating them as directional signals.

An Opening Range records the price span formed during a time window chosen in advance. Jason Opening Range displays that window's High, Low, and midpoint on the chart.

Key concepts

Range
The span between the highest and lowest prices observed during the selected start and end times.
Midpoint
The arithmetic midpoint between the range's High and Low.

Learn it step by step

  1. 1Check the chart time zone, session template, and selected start and end times.
  2. 2Add the indicator and compare its High, Low, and Mid with the underlying chart data.
  3. 3Use the extended lines as market-structure references, alongside broader context.

The time window depends on the market and the user's study plan. The indicator does not generate trade recommendations.
